Our Story
Duke & Marie Lancaster
2025-03-06 14.46_edited.jpg

Duke and Marie Lancaster have been part of the Vineyard movement since 1992. Marie grew up in a Hungarian household as the daughter of an Assemblies of God pastor and church planter. She often jokes that she knew she never wanted to marry a pastor—and when she met Duke at Oral Roberts University, she was convinced he was the least likely person God would ever call into ministry. So she married him.

A few years later, everything changed when a mission trip stirred something deep in Duke’s heart. He sensed a clear call to pastoral ministry, and together, Duke and Marie embraced God’s leading into a lifelong journey of ministry and missions. Since then, they have traveled extensively around the world, planted three churches, and served as Senior Pastors of Vineyard Church of Jackson, Mississippi, for ten years. In 2021, they stepped down to focus on itinerant ministry—equipping the saints for Holy Spirit ministry and strengthening leaders in the body of Christ.

Married for over 40 years, Duke and Marie delight in their family, with three children and eight grandchildren who are their greatest joy.

Our Purpose

This is a hard and unusual season to be in vocational ministry. Change seems to be swirling around us constantly, and the challenges of leadership today are more complex than many of us ever anticipated. If you're feeling the weight of it—you're not alone.

We believe God has called us, in this moment, to come alongside churches and leaders to offer strength, clarity, and renewal. Here’s what we’re carrying in this season:

  • A fresh experience of the Holy Spirit’s presence and power.

The Spirit of God is the sustaining force we need in times like these. We believe every church needs catalytic moments—encounters with God’s refreshing presence that refill the tank and reawaken hope. These moments don’t just revive individuals—they reenergize communities.

  • Clarity on what leadership looks like now.

Leading through change requires a different posture. It means being more adaptive and open-handed with old forms—while holding more tightly than ever to the unshakable core of our Kingdom assignment. We want to help leaders discern what to release, what to renew, and how to lead with faith and flexibility in this rapidly shifting landscape.

We were thrilled to host Duke and Marie for a weekend. They taught a prophetic workshop on Saturday afternoon, and then ministered and taught on Sunday morning.

They embody the kindness of the Lord. They made everyone at the workshop feel comfortable and at ease--even people who had no experience with the prophetic.

The Sunday service was beautiful. The combination of Duke's singing at the piano and Marie's fiery revelatory word was powerful.

They left our church more encouraged and with a deeper revelation of Jesus. I highly recommend inviting this couple to your church!

Duke and Marie Lancaster are a gift in the body of Christ. They have a treasure of experience leading in different churches and bringing the kingdom to the nations all over the earth. They are the kind of radical Jesus-followers that are sure to stir things up and release the power of the Spirit everywhere they go.

Duke & Marie were a blessing when they came to Tampa.

On Saturday we held a morning and afternoon session where they taught on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Duke led us through several exercises where we prophesied over each other using different techniques.

They ministered in our Sunday service through song, the Word, and leading us in Ministry Time. They modeled the prophetic and helped lead people through the 5-step prayer model as we prayed for healing. Several people were either healed or their pain level greatly reduced.

They were an incredible blessing, not only to our congregation but also to us personally.
